Memories of Tomorrow
This exhibition delves into the transition from war and conflict in Kosovo towards a more stable, optimistic, and confident society. The participating artists tackle profound themes such as loss, decay, and rebirth, as well as the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world, along with the impact of new technologies on our delicate social fabric.
Art in Kosovo has entered a new phase, boldly and confidently emerging from the shadow of war. The significant efforts of cultural events and developments in recent years have solidified and validated Kosovo’s vibrant and important arts community, and its global impact and significance. As Kosovo moves away from war, sadly the current and horrific wars in the world are causing a new global instability. These conflicts remind us of our everyday lives fragility. The threat and reality of war and injustice persist all around us. The presented works reference the cyclical nature of the human condition and how history, if we are not careful and vigilant, can repeat itself.
